An agreed set of rules is the cornerstone of any society. Righteousness is the expression of that framework, it is a byproduct of an following the rules.

Men have used every excuse in the book to commit heinous acts, religion, tribalism, signs from the sky voices from their neighbors dog, etc. Learn to separate the actions of men from their excuses.
