I went in for strep throat which I get about 3 times a year because of taking an immune suppressant. 2 out of the 3 times it goes away on it's own within 2 days (it never gets off the ground). The other 1 time it needs an antibiotic and it's gone with 24 hours. Every single time, 20+ cases, this is what it does.

If I DON'T take the antibiotic the strep throat keeps getting more and more severe until I can't sleep because of pure fire throat, open puss sores and it spreds to my ears, head and eyes. The last time I let it do this I went full deaf in one ear and 80% deaf in the other. It took two months for that to go away. Also it takes about a month + half for the strep to go away.

I've NEVER had hives. The last time I can remember feeling like this was with chicken pox, and I've never been able to remember that fully until now.

Day 1 after the throat swab my always dry strep throat turned into a fever of 103 and a runny nose that fully blocked the nose. Day 2 I had full body hives. The itching was so bad I had to wear gloves and socks to stimulate the hands and feet from needing CONSTANT scratching so I could go to sleep.

Right now I can barely type because I'm about to freak out with the itching demand and throw something.

I FUCKING HATE OUR MEDICAL SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEY NEVER GAVE ME THE ANTI BIOTIC! I HAD TO USE MY LAST REMAINING SPARE!

As a chronic hives sufferer I would urge you to start with the basics. Manage your stress levels with (screen free) exercise, cut back on the ammt of detergent you use, and use the extra rinse cycle if your machine has that setting. Rewash/rinse your bedding and consider switching to Castile bar soaps for personal hygiene. If your skin is raw and uncomfortable, look for moisturizers with ceramides, they're worth the extra money!
