Just stop. Your body is meant to have some amount of oil on your hair. It will be weird for the first weekish when you stop as your body will have to figure out it's new homeostasis (faggot) and it will get dry, oily, odd feeling for that short time. Afterward it will feel MUCH better than you've ever felt with shampoo. It will look much better too. Obviously if your hair actually gets dirty, you're a mechanic, firefighter whatever then use something to clean it but don't do it with shampoo. Because at the end of the day (((shampoo))).

Fwiw some years back, I was on a week-long visit with a friend and I had forgotten my shampoo. All he had was Head & Shoulders dandruff shampoo. I used it once, just once. After that I dealt with dandruff for years.

Probably caught a fungal infection from it. A lot of dandruff is caused by fungi.

A lot of skin issues are caused by fungi in general. Most recurring skin issues are underlying digestive issues or fungal issues. When I went to a foreign country, I found they could purchase very strong antifungal steroid cream over the counter where we'd definitely need a doctor's visit to get. They used it all the time. That shit heals everything, quickly.

I haven't used shampoo but maybe three times in the last couple of years. I also don't use body wash or bar soap. Deodorant is a must though. I wash my hands too.

If you have longer hair and stop using shampoo, brushing it regularly is really important to make sure the oils are properly distributed. You'll look greasy as fuck otherwise.

Deodorant is much worse than shampoo. Most deodorants contain aluminum nanoparticles. Are you people fucking retarded?

No, you are. It’s anti-perspirant that has the aluminum which stops sweating not the deodorant that stops the stink. Look for deodorant only.

I don't use deodorant with aluminum.

I haven't used shampoo in about a decade. I do use a bar soap, but I know where it's made and what's in it. I don't like the oily feel store soaps leave behind. Besides, I prefer to keep my chemical additives to a minimum. Wish they were totally avoidable.

This Moroccan chick I was fucking taught me this a long time ago. She had the most beautiful curly hair. Warm water and finish with a little essential oil concoction that smelled great.

I wonder where she is now haha, got me thinkin.

conditioner is fine though, right?

No. It's unnecessary chemicals that destroy your natural hair / scalp oil balance.

I recommend coal tar for your scalp. If you find that your dandruff builds up and gets thick and crusty, regular use of coal tar will clear up the condition. Neutrogena T-gel is one such product. It's 1% coal tar.

How did it get invented? Long, long ago, it was noticed that coal miners, who showered every day after work in the mines, had beautiful hair. The coal tar that settled in their hair was cleaning up their scalp problems.

I went no-poo for about 18 months and I didn't like it - lots of ingrown hairs for some reason. But I do agree that shampoo is like a nuclear bomb onto your scalp

I did it for a couple of years and it really didn't work for me either. Lots of weird bumps on my scalp and my hair never got over the nasty, greasy look. I eventually went to just diluted apple cider vinegar and it was better. I just use shampoo now with very few ingredients. I know tons of people really swear by no-poo but it just didn't work for me. Maybe with how short my hair is now, I can go back to the vinegar.

What about baby shampoo which is so mild that it doesn't burn your eyes?
