Not sure they care about gab. It's centrally owned and managed. This means that, if they wanted to remove gab, it would be a simple matter of banning the domain, and/or seizing the servers.

I do agree that twitter is a honeypot. Musk's agreement to purchase shares from the various banks that own twitter was a PR stunt to increase the value of twitter, while also pretending to be a haven for "free speech".
