They were all enjoyable, some great ones and some groaners. But, I think that's only because there were no niggers, beaners, street-shitters, etc. in our town. It was making jokes about stupid people in general. Somehow, Poles got the label of low IQ, and jokes were made. None of us knew that stupid could be a racial trait, and had we known that, Poles certainly wouldn't have been made the brunt of those jokes.

The polish were considered slow because they clung to their language and religion after moving to America. Also have you ever worked with a polish person?

Yeah they are. One or two of the ones I've worked with had a habit of forgetting common sense things though and if you already have the stereotype in your head they fit it.

One of my best friends growing up had an 11 letter last name, with a jumble of consonants and ending in -ski. He was one of 8 kids, and the entire family was awesome.

Poles have been ridiculed in this manner for many many decades. I'm not old enough to give any start time but I would guess when (((gypsies))) became a thing. And just off the top of my head (all of this reply is just a guess from what I've seen / heard in life / news) Poland has a ton of (((gypsies))).
