Yeah they are. One or two of the ones I've worked with had a habit of forgetting common sense things though and if you already have the stereotype in your head they fit it.

Poles have been ridiculed in this manner for many many decades. I'm not old enough to give any start time but I would guess when (((gypsies))) became a thing. And just off the top of my head (all of this reply is just a guess from what I've seen / heard in life / news) Poland has a ton of (((gypsies))).
