I've seen videos of people doing this to pits that won't unlatch from attacking an elderly man. It works. My brothers pit bit all the way through my finger and had my hand, wouldn't let go, so I grabbed his face with my other hand, twisted all his loose skin like a wet rag and when I picked him off the ground by his face he let go pretty fucking quick, then I repeatedly slammed his head into the ground until he went limp and quit trying to fight me. He then whimpered and followed me around the house as I tried to take care of my mangled finger. My brother put him down after that because I told him next time I come over if the dog isn't dead I'm hanging it with my belt

Yeah, I had him in the air and got him to let go within seconds of latching on. My fear was he would start thrashing his head and I went into black out zero dark 30 rage mode. A few deep punctures and he bit all the way through the tip of my middle finger. Squeezed a lot of blood out of it and kept it clean with neosporin. Now it's very sensitive to bumps and the cold. Happened in 2015
Should’ve just taken it it back and killed it then and there.
When your hand is gushing blood and there is a hole all the way through your finger, your priorities change a little bit. Though, I don't disagree with you either. I should have knifed it then and there and dragged the dog into the street to bleed out and die.
