Absolutely not. When I quit getting shitfaced, every part of my life got better. It took a few months of getting used to, but so worth it. I drink to medium excess every 2 months or so nowadays, just for the hell of it. Otherwise, it's coffee and Arizona ice tea for me.
'Alcoholism' is a crutch. Anyone can quit drinking, YOU are the power. I used to think I was doomed to be a fuckup drunk doper, but I was wrong. Ask yourself how sick of this shit you are? Cops getting involved in your life is a huge red flag something must change. Use your intellect, it's certainly there. Best wishes.

Such a simple statement that beautifully crystallizes the reality. If you're not a raging asshole, the chances you will ever encounter a cop in a "professional capacity" are next to zero, unless you are a victim of a crime somehow.
Cops are like garbage. Garbage tends to attract more garbage- like if someone throws a fucked up old mattress into an alley, a few days later, there will be a mountain of garbage piled up on top of it. People see it and think "That's surely where I can put my garbage, that's where it belongs, otherwise there wouldn't be a bunch of garbage there already."
Apply this to police. Cops now know you. You have a reputation among them. They're going to be aware of what you drive, your daily routine, etc.. They're going to watch you until you fuck up and run a red light or get caught swerving while DUI. All because of the first time you dove into garbage.
It took me many years to pull my head out of my ass. If I can do it, so can others.

Well said. It's a shame you still have anger issues though. Pretty sure blocked, ignored me for standing up for one of my loyal mods and you threw a conniption fit but it's all good. Unblock any time. I've never blocked or ignored anyone. It shows weakness. Trust me if I could block people in real life I would, but as an anon on the internet with no social media of any kind, I forgive ya.
