It seems like the number of "Thalidomide: The worst medical disaster EVER" stories has been increasing of late. Part of this is probably just due to smaller creators latching on to trends they see, but how much of it is funded by deeper sources in an attempt to get this back in the public's mind before some other disaster - one that is far worse - happens?

To distract from the fact that Thalidomide is far from the worst medical disaster ever, including the latest round of vaccinations.

That's the point I think. Get this in the public eye as "OH SO TERRIBLE" to distract from other things.

Is it to distract or is it just getting more attention because of increased usage? It's not just for treating leprosy. Yes there was the birth defect thing in the 50s-60s, but to that i say doctors also used to recommended certain brands of cigarettes as safer than others. Due diligence fail...

Is it possible that Thalidomide (Contergan) is effective at treating covid? And the jews don't like it...

Thalidomide is in a class of medications called immunomodulatory agents. It treats multiple myeloma by strengthening the immune system to fight cancer cells. It treats ENL by blocking the action of certain natural substances that cause swelling.

In addition, its use in various inflammatory and oncologic conditions is being investigated. Thalidomide interconverts between the (R)- and (S)-enantiomers in plasma, with protein binding of 55% and 65%, respectively. More than 90% of the absorbed drug is excreted in the urine and faeces within 48 hours.
