Well, I mean part of war is destroying your enemy’s supply lines and capability to bring in revenue. This certainly would fit the bill for an appropriate military target, though I think our involvement in all of this is bullshit to begin with. But it is generally a legit target in the context of “war” as it hurts the opposing government’s ability to gain revenue.
However, the part that I have a hard time wrapping my head around is that we (or whoever did this) just basically ensured that Germany is in a very tough position for the upcoming winter. They’ve also taken off the table any chance at Europe negotiating with Russia for their natural gas supply…because now there’s no natural gas supply to negotiate.
On the other hand, I also distinctly remember Trump telling the Germans “hey, you know this is really stupid that you’re getting all your gas from Russia” and they laughed at him. He turned out being 100% fucking right and now THEY are the stupid ones.
