It just works. Today I tried yet another installation of Linux and as with every other time there are problems that just seem to be unsolvable. It simply just does not work out of the box. I try it every couple years and it never works. Todays issue was that it came up and ran fine, except it does not see my keyboard. So I can't type anything. I won't be giving up too quickly, I'll go hit the forums and try to find a solution but I don't have high hopes. It is just way to technical for average users, you have to be well above average tech savvy to use linux. My dream to escape microsoft someday is still a dream it seems. By the way, before you jump on me and call me a stupid moron faggot computer illiterate, in a past life I held MCSE and CNE certifications.

absolutely agree. it just works out of the box.

you need to swallow a 1000 page manual to get linux to do basic shit properly and dont know (nor do i care) about now but when i last bothered with it you almost had to recompile the entire fucking installation just to get the screen resolutions correct.

fuck that noise. there is nothing at all about linux that is better simpler or more stable.

microsoft sucks fucking ass but at least their shit works and you can always disable the shit you dont like.

Linux is like the PC OS version of Aldi "You can do your entire shop at aldi! Its cheaper" - First of all, you cant do your entire shop at aldi, second of all, the basic stuff they have tastes like fucking shit so basically, you can get your basic shit stuff from Linux, but then for anything specific or to your taste, youve still got to waste time then going to fucking Windows or Mac...... so the Linux trip is 100% fucking pointless in the first place.
