problem is, at least in my case, this scenario may not take place til your 60s. drank whiskey/water for 40+ yrs, still have a bottle in the house, just dont go to it anymore.
my grandfather was like that with smokes. one day he just put them down and never picked them back up. he kept the same pack in the top of his closet.he refered to them from time to time as his conscious. smoking was hard for me, so i was always amazed how easily he quit. the truth is, it wasnt easy, but he had to fight for every breath. i often wonder if he was better off just smoking.
yup,, did the same with smokes 22 yrs ago(42) quit them cold turkey, left a carton on top of the fridge for over a yr. finally gave them away with the warning of how old they were. buddy just laughed, said he could barely get 3-4 drags of them they burned that fast.
