Yeah I don't do craigslist anymore; left faceberg years and years ago. I just call the local christian shelter and they'll take anything no questions.
Consider just donating; Habitat for Humanity often will come and get it and you don't have to do anything (moving it or lifting it), i.e. old fridges etc
I gave up on donating businesses, they just turn around and sell it for obscene profit. A used bowl is at least $8 u.s.d and like a pair of jeans is $20 or more. Donate by giving directly to people. We donated my late mother's clothes to ladies at a nursing home and donated hospice supplies to something called "nurse's closet" that use unused supplies.
OTOH, St. Vincent DePaul isn't as mercenary as goodwill or salvation army
On one hand, donating is a great thing for both sides. Then it is often corrupted (think salvation army).
Its an excellent tax write off vehicle for "charitable donations" Write values of items, get receipts. Fuck them with their own game... You can come up with several thousand dollars this way each year if you are diligent (that washer on the side of the road... it is a donation if you make it work. Many work already, (often a few dollars to a few 10s of dollars if it doesnt)) or it is parts and scrap metal for the next exact attempt, (or just leave it on an empty house's driveway, someone else will grab it for what value they can get). It is pretty easy to come up with 5-10k deductions in donations each year in your spare time as an individual willing to haul the item to the donation center. - I digress...
On the other hand, it mostly goes to enrich the jew at the end of the day with most charities.
Could you show some examples of Salvation Army corruption? I looked, but all I could find were libshits crying out loud that Salvation Army is racist, sexist, homophobic, you know... all those things...
The Salvation Army went woke. I wouldn't give to them any more. They were the one charity I did sometimes donate to.
My biggest problem with the salvation army, is its a worldwide global charity...
