It’s an unpopular opinion on here but I love cats. I have a few of them. Losing a pet can sometimes be harder than a person. Sorry for your loss

i had a cat that i absolutely hated yet when it died i still cried, dog died a few weeks ago and i fucking loved it. no matter your love or hate for the animal the emptiness left afterwards is painful

cats are basically like a D20 you got all types and if you want a specific personality tough shit, if you want personality yah they got it in spades. dogs worship you when you pick up their shit, you worship cats when you clean the litter box

Best pet I ever owned was a cat. We did many "dog activities" together. Except walk. He was a total retard with a leash or harness.

Still miss him.
