In the late 1940s my uncle left the service with both arms completely tatted up, then later wanted to go into the ministry, and he did, and he could never wear short sleeves again. Dear young people, don't be idiots. How you think them tats are gonna look when you're 75? Beam me up.

it's really bad for your immune system too. that's partially why they fade - your immune system toiling away at them over time to get rid of the foreign materials left by the ink.
