I'm tired of struggling against everything stacked up against us. I'm doing my best and seeing the awful mess my children will face crushes my soul. They're all too young to have any cares and I mourn for the pain that they don't yet know they'll face. I miss the one who's already gone. I don't cry very often but fuck I'm so tired. I know I'm not the only one and I won't be the first one of the last of us still standing to quit. Please don't quit either.

Our burden to see into the future and carry the burden of our children's children. This is something no other creature on this planet does.

Bad news: it will get worse, much worse.

Good news: it's been much much worse and we've always survived.

At the end of the day, my only goal in life is to be around long enough to give my children and their children the best foot forward.
