I remember I was working somewhere where they wouldn’t even look at a resume unless they didn’t use a certain font etc. Some made up requirement serious potential professional engineers had no clue they were being thrown away for. I was wtf floored.

Another place I was helping with interviews for some time. On the one I mentioned this guy has a 4.0 on their masters. The “boss” said “Oh I don’t care”. I thought to myself wtf man, I know we “hate” masters but that’s not an insignificant achievement. That does take talent if not serious talent to pull off. I’m just saying it’s not to be unconsidered. It’s a point.
