It's on the profile page, the resume loaded on the profile page, and even in the email address I use. Three chances, and they failed. Not even an offshore recruiter, either, this is someone trying to find a high-level engineer for some LargeCo that requires citizenship.

I assume if you can't get that small detail right, you're not going to be able to get the big ones right. These idiots are instant block.

Yep. I have some technical keywords in my profile, but they are technician-level things. Most recruiters are incapable of reading the resume and seeing that. All they saw was "Word."

Totally. It's not as bad as it was last year but damn, some of these fuckers are as dumb as a bag of hammers

Out of 100 contacts I get, I'd say about:

90 of them are Indian, and useless. They don't get a reply beyond "You're an idiot." 7 are onshore people, and are calling about junk jobs or are keyword spammers. 2 are decent, but know just enough to be dangerous - but not enough to actually find the people they need. 1 is calling with something that's in my field, and skill level.

Agreed. I've been getting a few dots calling me with God knows what they're even saying. The others are local (conus) but they can't come close to my price, the very few that can hit my number, typically turns out the JD they sold me chages with the offer, or they have a final demand as part of the offer (such as relo within 6 weeks and I'm on the hook for all of it)
