Oh man, I had a sub of GDIT vall.me two weeks ago.. as soon as I found out the prime was gdit I told them to pack up.. they asked why, I said two years ago I was approached by a pm wanting my skills but then I found out gdit removed employees' right to choose the Vax so I would never support anything they did.. I think you dodged a bullet, dude
They're not a place I would consider.
Former employer had some trouble, went out of business, technology was bought by GD. My contact was super burnt out after the closure, so he took a month and went to his folk's cabin in the woods to decompress, completely off the grid. Got back, GD was blowing up his phone wanting him to come there and work for them because the technology they bought was locked up in this guy's head. He said the recruiter left progressively angrier messages, and when he finally answered the recruiter's calls, recruiter was pretty pissy with him.
He said the recruiter angrily told him that this was an opportunity not to miss and that if he came there he'd retire from the place, that's how long they kept people. Recruiter was apparently a super ass, and my contact told him to take a hike.
Contact later told me that a few people GD did manage to hire were let go within 6 months, as soon as GD got the information they needed.
I don't doubt it. Huge contract firm with every finger in another pie - capital is capital and thus turnover and burn-out.
Why does it have such a high turnover?
In some regards, they tend to hire for projects and when the project is done, so are you. I've also had people acqui-hired by them, and when the knowledge transfer is complete they're terminated. It's also just they way they work.

They are the most communist corporations I have ever worked for and I would play the game with the contractor to get an interview and lay into the interviewer about their shitty corp. They make everyone take a week of commie indoctrination classes! Shit beltway bandit corporation that should be investigated and all the top people jailed at the very least.
