EDIT: Woke up to find that I was wrong thank God. China with a help of a little usa submissive Ness has backed down.

Consider this me putting my virtual reputation of my understanding of world politics at stake.

China has rattled their Sabres. Usa has decided to go ahead with Pelosi's visit to Taipei. She will land in about three hours. (she is flying a long round about route over friendly airspace while being escorted all the way so could be longer)

China has moved armies to Port cities and coastlines within the last few hours. Their fleet is already sea having left two days ago. Add to this long range launches are bring recorded right now moving to positions along the coastline.

Backing down now will be an incredible loss of face for China CCP.

Taiwan is certainly taking it seriously with troops and planes moving to their highest alert levels in the past hour.

Usa has several surveillance planes now flying off east Taiwan.

I truly think this is the last few hours of peace and that behind all this was machinations to make war happen.

Go with God and please let me be wrong, stupid and due contempt from poal this time tomorrow.

I'm not certain if war would break out, but it is interesting scenario. In the Army we called something like this 'recon by fire' where 'event X' on whatever flank would happen to see what would draw fire. I think the US is too arrogant to use this particular tactic in the manner I am describing it, and is instead engaging in a 'let them eat cake' Antoinetteism. Either way, sometimes the proverbial canary in the mine is necessary.

It's no coincidence that the person striking the match is Pelosi.

Not that her actions are a justifiable cause of war.

My prediction. China will put the ball back in usa court by a limited military strike. Say shooting down a US military plane. Or sinking a usn warship
