Consider this me putting my virtual reputation of my understanding of world politics at stake.

China has rattled their Sabres. Usa has decided to go ahead with Pelosi's visit to Taipei. She will land in about three hours. (she is flying a long round about route over friendly airspace while being escorted all the way so could be longer)

China has moved armies to Port cities and coastlines within the last few hours. Their fleet is already sea having left two days ago. Add to this long range launches are bring recorded right now moving to positions along the coastline.

Backing down now will be an incredible loss of face for China CCP.

Taiwan is certainly taking it seriously with troops and planes moving to their highest alert levels in the past hour.

Usa has several surveillance planes now flying off east Taiwan.

I truly think this is the last few hours of peace and that behind all this was machinations to make war happen.

Go with God and please let me be wrong, stupid and due contempt from poal this time tomorrow.

Nukes will be fired in this war.

Just a matter of when.

I've read enough elites comments to believe that they no longer consider MAD to be in effect

I don't think the nukes will legitimately be fired because they can't be stopped and a real nuclear war would kill the elites.

I do think they will use a nuke in a false flag attack to justify declaring war.

You missed my point. Elites think that nukes can be stopped and or damage mitigated.

No MAD. No serious blocker to firing nukes

I think there is a big difference between stopping MAD and stopping a single strategically delivered nuke.

I get that you think it can all be stopped. In which case all missiles can be stopped. But they aren't.

I don't think anyone is dumb enough to think it can all be stopped.

At best you misunderstood stopping MAD as stopping all possible delivery methods for a nuke.
