My intentions never come to fruition. I stay up all night and drink all day and feel like shit all week. Its such a sword. I can stop anything if I really want to but the problem is do I really want to? I think I do but evidently not.

Its always 5 oclock somewhere ( ok maybe not really ) But here it is. Plan to get old fuckers, you would think its easier but its not.

What from 1605? Its the word sober I question.

There are alot of king james versions.

The King James Version is from 1611 which makes it possible they used the word "sober" since it existed since 1400s.

I read this website and it has the word "sober" too: https://www.biblestudytools.com/kjv/1-peter/1.html

I also opened my "old" King James Version Bible (Thomas Nelson) and it uses the word sober twice.

If someone has a different word, I'd like to read about it.

So your saying the word sober is from biblical times?

"So your saying the word sober is from biblical times?" Not at all, the King James Version is a translation. https://www.quora.com/What-manuscripts-were-the-King-James-Bible-translated-from is probably a good starting point if you are interested.

I did quote the Standard King James Version but the 1611 King James Version also has the word "sober" "Wherefore gird vp the loynes of your minde, bee sober, and hope to the end, for the grace that is to bee brought vnto you at the reuelation of Iesus Christ:" https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1611_1-Peter-Chapter-1/#13

"Be sober, be vigilant: because your aduersary the deuill, as a roaring Lion walketh about, seeking whom he may deuoure." 1 Peter 5:8 https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1611_1-Peter-Chapter-5/#8
