Im not into religious discussions, while I may not be christian I believe in most their morals. 1611 isnt when the bible was supposed to be written. I dont believe the word sober was around then.
But the meaning of the word "sober" is still the same after more than 400 years and I bet the Greek word had the same meaning since wine and alcohol existed before the Bible was even written. "I believe in most their morals." that's a great start, I pray that you become a true Christian.
Not likely to happen, so what was the word originally used? Or how was it worded? Thats one of the problems I have, well besides the obvious. 400 years aint shit biblically.
There are two words in greek to say sober . You may find the latin word interesting: "sobrius" which is a word as old as the roman empire. Are thousands of years enough for Mr. Suplex? Now you could look up a greek or a latin Bible and look up those words or you could just trust tone of the oldest English translation (1611 King James Version).
