You are living in a world that is not a pleasant place to.
Why it is unpleasant, that it up for discussion.
I don't think any of us opted for it to be this way,
And I don't think any of us actually wanted Hell to Exist.
But here we are.

Most simple advise ever: You cannot drink what you do not buy. Walk past the store drive by whatever, go into the store you do not buy alcohol at for food or whatever else you need. It's that simple. NO you know you cannot just drink one, we all can't drink just one unless you a super lightweight when it comes to beer like me then one is a lot.
Know just what you mean. Have a list of stuff to do, general housework leading to first project for my “studio” living room (applying felt and acoustic to shelves I have). Well yesterday was my first day off in 20, so I slept in, got some excellent breakfast at 1:30pm, then went to the bar. Spent the rest of the day chillin on the (untidy) deck. Worked a bit today.
Look what happened to David Cassidy, and one of the last things he said (I guess as many say) was, "So much wasted time."
Best thing I found to help with drinking too much is a thermos of tea or coffee. I can make 20oz last for 5 hours that way, whereas 20oz of beer has about 30mins to live once opened.
Also, if you ever feel like sleeping, sleep.

Took your recommendation got fired immediately by answering why I was sleeping on the job Ike a politician would answer what a woman is.
Sometimes you just need something to wake you up.
Yeah, what?
Birthday, death in the family, car accident. Something that is out of the ordinary that makes you realize you need to stop wasting time.
You have habituated yourself to consume booze into the wee hours. Rewire yourself to not pull the cork and to hit the sack early and rise before dawn. 2 months. That's all it takes to engrain a new neural pattern of behavior. 60 short and simple days, which is a chronological nothing in the grand scheme of a man's lifespan.
I always rise before dawn, no matter what. Sucks sometimes.
Sometimes it does. Sometimes it does not. (https://pic8.co/sh/GEfede.jpg)
Yep, Im not denying it doesnt pay off sometimes. But Im up way before then, and nothing so pretty here.
1 Peter 1:13 "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ"
1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"
Is this a newer version?
