The UP is awesome in the summer. I spent a bit over a week savoring the outdoors many years ago. Enjoy!
Damned yoopers
I'm on the Northern side of there and yes, the weather up here is amazing.
So far this summer is sunny yet much cooler than normal.
Mid 70's by the lake all week.
Not too humid.
Perfect for BBQ and fishing.
I'm headed to Montana in ~12 hours. Time to see the folks (probably only have 3~4 visits left before they're gone) and visit our favorite campgrounds.... in years past we would go 4 days without seeing another human (4 days is our food and water limit in the camper). Hoping that the Yellowstone flooding will have kept some people from heading to MT
And Amen to being thankful. We skipped on our summer trip last year (heat, fires, 3 month old puppy), desperately needed.
See you fuckers in a Month
Bring plenty of bug spray. Look for whitefish jerky.
Can I come? I'm close by.
Do black people avoid the colder north? Should that be the next place to go?
Winter and cold isn't bad if you dress for it. You get used to it.
I used to live in the U.P. when I was younger. Only ever seen one nigger. He was a foreign exchange student.
The winter in the UP is better imo. It can be 10° colder than downstate and it's still more comfortable to be in. If that makes sense.
No. they don’t. prior to having fur lined gortex panties the cold used to keep the north the “great white north” but with tech comes shitskins.
Count the times you get bitten by insects. I want a report when you come back.
Enjoy the chill time.
Great place for camping. Especially since there won't be any humans around you.
Kick ass. Have a great time you huge homo.
Every time we go we hit the same place on the way home. We get a pasty and an ice cream cone.
