The curve of the back makes it feel really good in the hand and I like the 16:9 screen far better than the new skinny screens.
The 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display (2560 x 1440, 538ppi) screen is really nice. Its not as vibrant as the screen on my A10e but it looks way more color accurate and has way better resolution. At first I thought the screen was a downgrade on the LG but now after some time I see that it is way better than the 720 x 1520 IPS LCD on my Samsung.
I'd put the laser focusing 16mp camera on the LG up against any modern flagship. It has so many cool features. I took some long exposure pics of space and you can see all of the stars, its incredible.
It has the Snapdragon 808 with 3gb of RAM. Many phones today will have way more power but in reality that only translates into a page opening .2 seconds faster. Even my A10e has more processing power on paper but the LG opens most pages faster. Maybe because this older phone allows me to shut down and disable apps and processes to a much larger degree than current phones. Its fast.
Lastly the speaker is so loud. Best I have heard on a cell phone and this is nice because I like to listen to podcasts.
I find more and more that flagship electronics from 5-10 years ago are far better than current low and mid range electronics. You can buy these older devices for a fraction of what you will pay for a new low or mid range equivalent. Spend way less and have something way better.
Buying the latest thing is a fools errand.
Have a good day.
