The street I live on is 3 blocks long. A few times I've seen that in front of my house. A couple of good ol' boys in pickups stop and talk. Sometimes a car will pull up behind them, if they don't move right away the person in the car gets out and joins the conversation. If I'm outside they'll usually wave me over. The most exciting thing to talk about lately is the town water pressure keeps fluctuating. 1st world problems.
They don’t even pull over? They just stop in the middle of the road?
That’s hilarious.
It's only wide enough for 2 vehicles, there are drainage ditches on both sides. The east end of the street is a t-intersection with 'main' street, which is also the state highway connecting us to other towns. The city hall/police station/fire house is on one corner. The west end is also another t-intersection which is more residential areas. Most of the houses in this area of town were built in the mid-60s on half acre lots. We have 4 huge pecans trees on our lot, in the fall imagine walking on a huge carpet of bubble wrap, every step is on 3-8 pecans. We encourage the grandkids come over and collect as many as they want. We get herds of squirrels eating them thru the winter, and burying them in the lawn. Now they are digging them up leaving little holes everywhere.
This makes me homesick.
