I was asked to update, so here’s your update. The wife is doing much better. A few of you suggested the mother’s milk tea, many thanks! She still gets upset that she can only do so much for so long, but she’s at a point where she can get in and out of bed/the car by herself. I didn’t state in the original post, but mentioned in a few comments, that we had moved into a bit of a fixer upper a week before my daughter came. We are still by no means fully settled (that’s gonna be a while), but I’ve since made the space much more user friendly. She said that wasn’t an issue, but I’m pretty sure it helps (especially now that her foot swelling has subsided and her shoes are unpacked… dames and their shoes). She’s currently in the kitchen making me steak and potatoes. I’m going back to work tomorrow, I think she’ll be okay. Next weekend it’s the roof and gutters, maybe even reinforce the floor and bring the 150g fish tank up from the basement.

Thank you so much for the update! Now, you've taken care of your wife (which of course will be ongoing), don't forget to take care of yourself. As Turtles said, "pace yourself". Your wife and daughter are first priorities.

My wife loves the fish too, Polly ( a bichir), cutie patootie, skinny patootie, chubby patootie, stripey patootie (all yo-yo loaches), hickory (actually 2 geophagus), sloops (a fairly rare fresh water goby (sicyopterus macrostetholepis)), whiskers (a pictus cat) and the lesser known characters which I don’t believe she’s named.

But yeah, I’ll slow down a bit.
