If I recall correctly, it was indeed. And I agree with you, the more I learn the more sorrowful it can become. This is the importance of the hope within. It was Christ who said "take up your cross and follow me." You cannot follow someone without bearing your burden and moving towards them. Romans 12:2 speaks to the constant action of testing to discern the perfect will of God. To grieve for your sins is a good thing, if it leads you to repentance (doing better, working to improve).
