My sister and family just came for a visit after 5 years. They got home today and she sent me a text message: "We made it back! ...had fun, loved the springs and the boat trip, blah, blah, blah..." I replied, "That was some trip. Hated to see you go home." Only I double clicked the space on this shitty phone after the word 'you' and sent: "That was some trip. Hated to see you. Go home." Grrrr.

I need to turn off auto correct. It's always messing up my words. What you speak of is annoying, however.

I've been without autocorrect for years, but it's not easy. Maybe I'm a boomer, but no matter how carefully I type there's still typos on the phone.

Just got a new phone so still navigating my way around. I Iike auto correct for spell check. But, if it doesn't recognize the word or spelling, it screws it up. The grammatical eras are annoying too, however.

Found I have a much less frustrating time using the pen stylus my phone has in order to hand-write text. Amazingly it understands my shit cursive. It even allows me to rest my hand on the screen and pen shit in without activating touch in the area my hand rests. Phone is at least 7 years old, I refuse to upgrade it. More like downgrade, they've taken away headphone jacks in order to "close the analog loophole," but they lie and claim it is to make them thinner.

Auto correct literally changes correctly spelled words to incorrect versions. It is probably jews to blame.
