Had a smartphone swiped from me at a convenience store, friends and family everywhere are getting jacked, it’s begun.

Don’t flash your goods or money

Don’t keep anything valuable in your car, keep the doors unlocked

Get a gun, pepper spray, and tourniquet if you haven’t already

Run & lift

Hide your most valuable things in your home (burial is nature’s savings account)

Edit: go watch a hundred videos on Active Self Protection, especially ones involving transitional spaces such as driveways.

Exactly. Convenience stores exist for losers to get overcharged for soda, beer, cigs and junk food. You shouldn't need any of that in a hurry, if at all. Once in a while you might need cold water or a sandwich on a hot day but there is usually a grocery store or sandwich shop nearby that isn't a hang-out for meth-heads.

Another agreement here on not using convenience stores. Once while I was filling up at one, I witnessed a pair of methed up skank whores assault a frail old man simply because he happened to pull up to a pump they wanted. I happened to be CCW at the time, and I actually thought I might have to pull it on them if their attack escalated beyond their cursing and throwing their junk at him. Fortunately, they peeled out once I turned my cellphone camera on them - getting their license plate number too, BTW - and the cops showed up PDQ. Poor old guy didn't know what hit him. Sad...
