Camping down on the border in AZ I brought along a black light once. Yeah, you don’t wanna do that. Tree I was next to lit up like it was Christmas. Moved my shit the next morning. I usually kill about a hundred twenty of those fukrs with a blow torch every year at my place. I hate those sonsabitches.

We'd visit our grandparents in the Texas Hill Country, we stayed in a rock house, oh my gosh they'd scare the crap out of us, gots to look in yo shoes and stuff and under the covers.

I never check shoes, have had them in the bed before, here and in alabama. I sit on the floor when typing (dont judge me!) And you just feel a tickle then the fuckin sting.

Usually they fall in the shower, which is pretty easy to check. Hell they even show up in light fixtures.

Deltamethryn dust. You can apply it with a bulb duster in the spring and it will last until they go dormant again. It will kill a scorpion in something like a day.

I've been stung 5 times so far. Once in the thigh, 4 times in the fingers. It initially hurts less than a wasp sting, but the wasp sting quickly wears off whereas this one will hurt worse each day, throbbing and painful all day, for @ 1 week plus. After 10-14 days, it will have eased up enough that you don't think about it. Much. It's 3-4 weeks till it's all but gone though.

I dont know about all that but you can feel tender for a few days. Btw I get stung by wasps weekly.

Different species have differing potency. Some of the ones in Africa will kill a person or make them real sick. The ones around here are very small, less than a 1/4" inch long, and exactly the color of the rocks they live in and around. They are all but invisible unless you are looking at the exact spot they're at and they move.

Last summer I was asleep in bed, when I felt something crawling on my face next to my eye. The little asshole stung me and woke me up. I grabbed it instinctively in the dark and crushed it between my fingers before throwing it to the floor. I rolled over and went back to sleep.The next morning, I saw what it was -- a wasp. Fuck all bugs with poison stingers.

First house I owned was an A-frame that had 13 pine trees on the property. Some of them right next to the house, and scorpions love pine trees. This was years ago when I lived in Florida. My ex-wife found one in the bed one day and freaked out. We had found them in the house before, but my ex said that finding them in the bed was crossing the line. Lol

You should be alright if they're not right next to the house like ours were. I took down the 2 closest ones to the house, and that pretty much kept them out of our house.
