8th grade. My friends and I grabbed some poles and tackle and started riding our bikes out to a lake in hopes of catching a northern. We stopped at one of the smaller lakes along the way. Drop bikes at top of a driveway, walk down to the dock and start fishing. These days, I can't imagine Karen not losing her shit for a few kids fishing off her dock.

Anyway, I caught my first bass off that dock on a black Mister Twister jig spinner.

I can't imagine a parent not suing Karen for her kids trespassing on her dock, falling into the water, and drowning; for not providing a lifeguard and gluten free cookies.

In other words, some folks today, and most back then, wouldn't give two shits about a few kids casting from their dock. They might even enjoy seeing kids having fun fishing from a dock that wasn't being used.

But you're right, today's world is much different. Back then we'd be gone for hours and riding bikes for miles and no one's parents blinked an eye at that prospect. The steady diet of fear porn heaped on society for decades by the fucking kike media has changed society. What was once a normal kid's life, has now been labeled a free-range kid's life and is frowned upon. It's no mystery why kids are so fucked up these days.

I personally wouldn't give a shit but I am also aware of retards doing retard things and resulting in a 5 figure personal injury settlement. Or god forbid the news gets a hold of the story how your neighbor's nonverbal autist they had via IVF in their 40's getting past the locked gate, motion detectors, and slipping under the pool cover for winner take all marco polo.
