There's a sign on the door saying they require IDs & vax cards or negative tests within 72hrs OR "Hit the Bricks".

I tried to see a show there last night after getting rejected at the door last November for not having a vax card, so I wanted to see if they're still doing it. Same fucking virtue signaling bullshit, same fucking bullshit excuses like "the mayor is making us do it" or "the city will shut us down if we don't comply because we're an all ages venue".

My friend and I sat in his car outside the place for a solid 20 minutes as we watched this venue turn away at least 40 people, some started arguing with the doorman/owner yet the rest just shrugged their shoulders and left.

This venue is causing a major rift in my local music scene and a good number of national acts have canceled their shows because of all this bullshit, so now the venue is charging even more money for local shows - many metal bands won't play there. There's a show tonight and it's $25 for 5 local bands and that's fucking outrageous. I understand that bands and performers need to be paid, but that price doesn't justify it when the venue takes half of the door sales.

I saw Tommy Ca$h - a rapper from ESTONIA for $15 at another venue back in February - no vax cards or tests needed, and he's HUGE in Europe, Asia, Russia and China.

A semi-big metalcore band from the mid-2000s was booked to play 2 shows in July (because the 1st one sold out within hours) then they found out about the vax requirements and they canceled both shows, and now the venue is out thousands of dollars just from the ticket sales, along with all the food and bar sales they would've made from that night.

This place is shooting itself in both feet and still trying to walk.

My favorite punk rock dive bar in Philly required a Vax ID when it opened back up.

Rocking out with Pfizer is so Punk!!!

A new punk dive bar opened in my area in the ghetto back in January, friends and I decided to check it out, and never even went inside because they have a huge BLM sign in one of their windows. Rumor in the local scene is they also don't book any rappers because it wouldn't go over well with their clientele and don't want violence in or around their bar. Punk Rock virtue signaling 101.

I think the biggest oddity of this whole experience was watching how quickly ultra-liberal punks and hippies went from hating corporate America to licking the boots of Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson.

Punk requires vax proof and shit, not punk at all since punks wouldn't care in the least, or at least the original punks would call them fags for asking for that shit.

Maybe there's a bar you haven't heard about that just profited of the situation to open a new scene sans vax/mask? If not, that could be a good side business for you to put in place and organize. This circus made me search for alternate solutions. I found two venues that became my dens. Full of true antivax and rebellious people, true to their values of Liberty and anti big corp.

The leftist youngsters here were certainly flipped fast enough from loving commie Russia, to loving jew-infested Ukraine. Indoctrination is wonderful.

That sucks, very few venues host good punk bands nowadays, at least near me. Now I'm in my 30's, and the punks I grew up with (most I still hang with) are anti vax. The younger crowd seems to suck the CDCs dick. It's creepy.

It’s nice to hear there are lots of smaller, independent bands out there openly rejecting this tyranny. I bet there are some big bands who would like to, but they have a lot more to lose from being shut out by the mainstream. Eric Clapton openly refuses to do shows that require vaccination, but he has been working on his name recognition alone for decades. He doesn’t need mainstream radio and media outlets to promote him.
