I have been working non-stop for 8-9 years without a vacation. Two days ago, my job ended, and instead of being freaked out I am reveling in it! Finally framed several prints I bought months ago, etc etc. Just putzing around the house, singing to myself, dozing occasionally with the cat. FUCK WORK!!

--PS: I'm still waiting for my 'Productive Member of Society' trophy...

I just retired, it’s very weird not going to work. I’m still being paid, yet, my time is my time. I’m earning the same as if I was still working. Looking back, it was totally worth it. My bills are being paid, life is good. I have no reason to get a Covid shot. I’m free from all influences. I do what I want to do. Prepping is my new hobby. My backyard garden is almost ready. What a huge change from having to work everyday. I answer to no one, well, except my wife. Keeping her happy has been my life. Strangely enough doing what I do makes her happy. She is still here asking what am I going to do next? I think I’ll paint the house, lol!

Stay somewhat busy, yes, but on your own schedule! A lotta retirees go downhill fast. I will be returning to work at some point, but am in no hurry. It may be a month or so. Gonna enjoy my inflatable boat in the local gator/snake infested lakes, and ride my bike.
