A lot of guys I work with have them. They're great especially if you're at a job site you think you'll be in and out of, and run into some bullshit, without having to run for anything. Plus I already have a Gerber knife

Do explain

I've carried and used the same one almost every day for over a decade in every condition and it is showing no sign of slowing down. No idea if Leatherman is more or less cucked than Gerber. Steel seems to be very high quality.

Had some in military surplus dept. Pallets upon pallets of them. In unrelated news, I have about 60 of them...

Damn. Did you steal them? Sounds like my cousin with 5 hour energy drinks

Lmao. Yeah, we had those too, but for some reason I was dumb & mostly collected office supplies & aircraft straps

Geber products were good back in the day. I won’t buy any of their new stuff. It’s all made over seas now and isn’t worth the money they ask. Junk company if you ask me.

As is most things. Thought Gerber was reliable

It's probably a results may vary thing. I've heard good and bad about Gerber.

Gerber is slightly better than the walmart house brand multi-tool (which in my experience are shockingly good considering the price). The quality multi-tool is leatherman. I think they even make one or two crappy products as well. One of my co-workers recently bought a good one and it's as solid as my 20 year old one. The only thing I don't like about mine is it doesn't have replacable blades on the wire cutters and mine are dented to hell. I could probably send it back for a replacement, but then I'd have to buy something to have on hand while it's being replaced. Unfortunately, leatherman tools aren't cheap. If I worked in a place where theft or loosing a tool was common I'd definitely prefer the Gerber.

Have bought small gerber multis: Dime, Splice, Curve(?). Thought they were solid, but the Leatherman Crunch locking pliers are my carry multi tool. Have the Free K2 also, cheap knife but the large blade and “awl” small Phillips/ dull blade are way useful for my tasks

I thought you were talking about some baby food tool at first.

Yes

Does it have a built-in coathanger?

How tough is it? I have a cheap Roxon one that I used for about a year and it's already worn out.

Dunno yet. Stainless steel. First day with it besides using it for fishing yesterday. Try to not use it constantly. Working with water, so don't want it to rust out to fast

I keep a couple in a tackle box. Always around salt water and still slide very nicely. I do spray them with wd-40 every so often.

Leatherman Rev has been my EDC for years. Slim, pocket clip & the dedicated package opener gets a lotta use. Fuck, I replaced my kids shower cartridge /handle/face plate assembly with that little thing.

I have one of the last snap on knives they made in Kershaw before the slants took over
