I don't work at a job anymore. I hated it, would rather live in a cave.
Lucky enough to have some, not a lot, money, and do what I want unless I get sick.
But I put in some dues and have the 'scars' and all to show for it.
Retirement is a scam so you run out money. Unless you have a reserve of something to sell off until you die any pension system will get clusterfucked into the ground in less than 10 years.

I work for myself. I'm my own boss. I'll never retire because I enjoy working. I haven't worked for a boss since I was 19 years old. You should find a job you love, and then you won't want to stop working.
Same. Had 1 or 2 W2 jobs the last 15 years or so to make ends meet when I was between companies. I’m unemployable at this point, I can only work for myself.

You should try it, work for others is a waste of life. Start your own thing, find what appeals to you and that others will pay for.
