Here's the thing, once a woman stops breastfeeding, she can't go back. Outside of the public sector, few women are afforded enough maternity leave to get their children to where they no longer require milk and the cost of living has made it so that a single income is rarely enough to support two adults and a child or children. Add to this the number of women whose breastmilk is lacking in vital minerals such as iron despite eating plenty of beets, spinach and red meat, and women who cannot breastfeed because they are on medication or who have been vaccinated, and you begin to realise that infant formula is a necessity vital to the future of our nation and our race.

Ideally women shouldn't even be working.

“Ideally women shouldn't even be working.”

Agreed. Unfortunately, the way our society and economy has been manipulated, most of us can’t live like we did in the 50’s. To become middle class or upper middle class - and retain that tier - usually requires both parents to work anymore.

I’m about to get married in the next year likely, and we’ve discussed child rearing and stay at home motherhood. It’s ideal and what we’d prefer. We’re just not sure we’ll be able to financially. I’m busting my ass and make decent money ($175k/year), but inflation and everything else considered (taxes, saving for retirement, house, college fund, etc. etc.), that money doesn’t go as far as one might think.

To live like they did in the 50’s, I think the guy needs to take home around $250k/year at least..and if things keep going the direction they’re moving now, that number will only increase.

We’ve got a tentative plan for her to work from home (which I already do), but it will require her to change careers totally and so she will likely take a pay cut to start over in another industry.

As far as salary, it depends on where you are are living. 175k household income is very comfortable where I am at.

Good luck with marriage /family.

We don't live in an ideal world. White people hold very little power. Blaming mothers for not breastfeeding when they were womanly enough to give birth is idiotic. Anecdotally, when my wife had our second child, she had to use formula. She was a stay at home mother for 9 years. She still breastfed because she believed it was important for our daughter's immune system and gut bacteria, but her milk was iron deficient and causing jaundice. Formula is a necessity just as any medication.

The vast majority of women are simply taking the easy way out. I never stated there weren't instances where formula isn't needed.
