Because SCOTUS decided that Roe v Wade has zero legal sense, which is true, and has been broadly known in the legal community for half a century.
But isn't it odd that the Court didn't come to this opinion in the decades since Roe vs. Wade occurred? Why suddenly now?
Political motivation to rally voters. The only "race to the middle" topics right now are things like CRT in schools and tranny's in sports and little girls bathrooms. The powers that be have found that it is not enough to rally their base so they needed something that would get media headlines and get "normal' people involved.
This is going to be.. interesting.
