Lol. I do this too. Just never described it as a beacon but that's exactly what it is.
It's a great way to find out like-minded people. Probably the greatest example of this in my personal life was a few months ago when I had my first ever conversation with someone I had met that day - where he actually was doing the same thing by making comments that were diplomatic about the whole corona horseshit. I upped the ante a bit, and then the floodgates opened. Turns out he's a pureblood as well, and he pointed out to me the other pureblood in the group of who are now all mutual friends of mine too. If you go in all gung-ho, people clam up. If you're diplomatic about it, they are far more likely to say "Yeah you are right".
Also have been friends with another driver for a while now even though we don't work together anymore for similar reasons. He's a mute but he's really good at "talking" to you even if you don't know sign language. Basically, he's a beast at charades.
Anyway, we were staying at the same hotel for orientation. I had sat my groceries in the lobby and walked back outside to hang out with a couple other people. Me and him walked back in and my groceries were gone. I knew the only person that had been through the lobby was some black woman and her niglets.
The receptionist said, "Oh let me call her room. She had groceries too so maybe she took them by accident." As soon as that left her mouth me and him both snapped our heads and looked at each other. Didn't have to say a word even if he was capable. Lol.
I've been trying to get him on Poal but when I described basically what Poal is he just says he already hates how things are as it is and that he doesn't need to get even more jaded.
It's fun when it happens. Me and another driver (who I knew a little but we haven't run together a lot) were both running a load from SC to OH so we followed each other up and talked on the radio the whole way.
At some point a 300 Chrysler was all over the road and couldn't maintain their speed for shit. When we finally got around him I jumped on the cb and said, "Yep. He looked exactly like I thought he would." That's all it took. He responded back with, "Like what? A nigger?" And a friendship was born.
