I go, at most 2-3 days. And same, if you don’t count my dogs. Wish it were longer. This post kinda made me chuckle because just today I was thinking that tomorrow I would try zero speech. The dogs know the routine, they don’t really need verbal noise, just tactile appreciation.
"In a multitude of words there wanteth not sin."
Am I the only one who has there dogs trained with various clicks and pops from my mouth.
I don't recall the name of the movie, but there was this scene where the bad guy was confronted by a dog protecting a kid. Anyway, bad guy keeps telling the dog, "no", "sit", "stay", your usual dog commands. Dog doesn't bat an eye. Kid says "mustard", "ketchup", stuff like that and the dog responds to those words. I think the eventual ketchup command was the demise of the bad guy. Anyway, I thought it was brilliant to teach their guard dog commands that only the family would know to give. So, clicks and pops make sense to me.
