This goes for every government job ever.
The worst kind of liberal is the kind that works for the government or a company that works for the government. They have no concept of needing to please a customer. In the real world, lets say retail, every employee is aware of how many customers they have each day, and they know the number of customers and sales directly affects the hours they get next week. They must be productive during their shift, or else.
Gov employees have no concept of this. They exist solely in the idea space of "it I work and the work I do is morally good work, I am entitled to my pay and why wouldn't I get paid. "
The idea that trying hard is not related to making money is completely outside their understanding.
Government workers just don't give a fuck. The ones I have interacted with as a "customer" (DMV, Postal (sort of government), police, jail, other tax collectors/recordskeepers) don't imagine themselves as good employees, though I would say they feel they are entitled to their pay. They realize that there is a bare minimum that is going to keep them employed, and then they try to cheat to do even less than that. Beyond that they do seem to enjoy telling people "no" but don't seem to enjoy getting yelled at. (Other) loud niggers and squeaky people get some grease. People who act like a normal business customer don't get very far.
