The genius of programming is making something that seems to the average joe like an easy feat when in reality there is much more to it. If Poal were just some simple script kiddie site, it would be down more than it is up. While I don't know the architecture of Poal, it's uptime and lack of crippling bugs suggest that this is a much more robust system than meets the eye. I've been programming professionally for 30+ years so I can appreciate the technical effort that went into making Poal strong enough to survive all the shit it gets on a daily basis. It's not just markup, database query languages and scripts at work here.
I completely agree. I was just takin' the piss. Keeping a shop like this is no mean feat.
