Seed library, huh? That is about the most out fucking standing thing that I have read about today!
Its pretty great. My hometown started one a couple of years before I moved away from there to the liberal hell hole I live in now (escape plan already activated).
One of the best things about it is that its a great community thing and you will meet other people that can give you growing tips for the area and suggestions on when to start your seeds or what kind of rotations to run.
Ex. If you are growing tomatoes from scratch. Start your seeds out at least 1 week apart from each other. Otherwise they will all fruit at the same time and you will have a massive amount of tomatoes all at once that you either have to preserve or alternatively maybe trade with another local grower for something else. Some varieties can produce like crazy. One year we had 3x ~2.5 ft tall plants and we produced about 35lbs of tomatoes. It was awesome.
