Thank you, I did spend a great deal of time outside and I have a lot of fond memories of it too. That's part of why I want to go back and house sit while she's away this summer but without the internet and reconnect to some of those better memories. But I did a lot of computer stuff, especially in the long northern winters we have. My internet addiction got worse afterwards when I moved out, and I hate it.
I used to do some good workouts up until a few years ago, so I understand where you're going and agree. As far as loneliness goes, I'm mostly comfortable by myself and enjoy the silence but also maybe that's the internet addiction. Ideally I'd focus on concentrating on art or music instead of siphoning though texts, comparing notes and watching documentaries but my attention span has gone to the dogs.
A lot of what you said were really good points that had crossed my mind. Despite all the wasted time online it did bring me here at least catching up on real history and all this jew garbage. At this point it's time to start doing things like what you pointed out. As far as giving up internet for 5 days, I considered asking my sister who comes by often with the kids to take the router for a few days or block the computer with something like the ColdTurkey app. Since there's already plans for me to house sit I guess better to ease in.
That sounds pretty good. Bring some books, PHYSICAL BOOKS (not audio books or Kindle or w/e), some puzzles, any workout equipment you have like dumbbells or a pull-up bar.
And then just disconnect in this house you're looking after. Disconnect from the madness, and reconnect with yourself. Sit in the silence. You'll be amazed at where your mind takes you when you're not constantly bombarded with new information. At first, you may feel bored and like you must reconnect to the machine. But if you can just resist this for a day or two, you will find SERENITY unlike anything you've ever experienced.
After you undergo this "detox", you can come back in a much healthier mind frame. You'll feel better physically and sharper in the mind.
An update on this, I'm moving in to my mom's place and starting a garden and a chicken coop. Two things I've always wanted to do. I have had some experience with chickens growing up and really enjoy watching them from time to time but it'll be a leaning curve.
I'm gathering up resources on how to do these in a northern climate
