In a recent interview Trump's son, Don Jr., wrote:

Nobody’s telling people like “Lia” Thomas that they can’t identify as a woman even if God made them into a man. That’s on him.

Don Jr. is wrong. I am telling this Thomas kook that he can't identify as a woman, because he is not a woman. Every one reading this should be telling him the same thing. Everyone in the world should be telling him that he is a man, and he better get used to the fact; that he will never be a woman; that when he dresses up as a woman he is only making himself into a freak. That's the truth and we all know it. We got ourselves into the mess we are in as a society by refusing to face or speak the simple truth on matters such as this.

You're missing the distinction. "Identifying as" something means you have a delusion. Don Jr. is saying no one can stop him from having his delusion. It's not the government's place to tell you what is and isn't a delusion because before you know it they'd be defining normal heterosexual behavior as a "delusion." Never give government a power you're not ok with them using in the opposite way you intended, because they will for a certainty.
