Try sneaking a little me time at least 3 times a week. Maybe just a 15 min yoga , or pilates inspired routine. If you're consistent you'll feel amazing , and love it

On yoga- I thought it was a girl thing with minimal benefits. When I was competing in a combat sport that involves grappling, I was having a lot of trouble with a specific technique- there's this tiny stabilizing muscle in your thigh that you hardly use in normal activity. But this technique slams most of your bodyweight onto that muscle as you're driving forward for a takedown. These muscles were burning for me, and nobody could give me any advice.
I ended up identifying the name of the muscle, and started searching for stretches- it's a very difficult muscle to stretch. And take a guess at what I found? Several videos of yoga techniques that specifically target that tiny muscle for stretching. IT FELT SO FUCKING GOOD. I mean, the soreness hurt- but being able to get a good solid stretch in, wring out some of that lactic acid, was huge for me. So I began doing this yoga technique, and after a few weeks, the takedown technique was far easier for me to initiate.
TL;DR- yoga isn't just a girl thing. The study of yoga has accumulated an enormous amount of information on stretching and conditioning various muscles in your body that you normally might not use often. There might be something in yoga for you- maybe you've got a stabilizing muscle in your back that is bothering you, and you just can't seem to reach it with your normal stretches; yoga will probably have something for you.
Yoga and Pilates can be very beneficial for powerlifting , body building , martial arts , hell even football and baseball. Incorporating some yoga or pilates will also greatly help in preventing injuries.
