It's probably more of a fear of being cancelled than of an atomic strike. That and it's a lemming stampede. Nobody wants to be one of the 5 companies left with connections to Russia, or that's likely their line of thought.
There's going to be more sanctions, including on companies who still have employees in Russia. They want to completely obliterate Russia and cutting off employees from American companies is a price they're willing to pay.
