I pity those who own monster trucks. I bought a small SUV with a four-cylinder engine when gas prices were low, because I knew they wouldn't stay that way. One thing you can do to cut costs is drive less. If you cut your miles in half, you cut your gas cost in half.

Hoarding gas is a short-term solution for a problem that may not even happen. In fact, hoarding gas is more likely to cause a shortage than any other thing.

Definitely going to be taking the bus in the coming weeks. More exercise, sun, and savings.

I'm still wrapping my head around the sixty cent increase over the last month when it jumped ten cents overnight.

The guy on the other side of the pump when I pulled up this morning was in a F-450, and we spoke as he put over 40 gallons in. I didn't ask him the mpg, but he knew I was thinkin' it.

Filled my pickup bed with 5gals from home depot yesterday, filled them all and stored them.

Pump shut off on me like 5 times. Attendant came out snooping.

Hard tack, made from just water flour and salt, can be stored for 100 years, taste like shit, but it will keep you alive.

I like the canned salmon and mackerel too. Love me some patties made out of them.

This is good advice. The gas prices here have been increasing 0.05-0.10 a day.
