Now officially prohibit misinformation and disinformation.

Community guidelines now state following: Do not share false or misleading information (otherwise known as misinformation) Content that is false, misleading, and can lead to significant risk of physical or societal harm may not be shared. We may remove content if we reasonably believe its spreadcould result in damage to physical infrastructure, injury to others, obstruction of participation in civic processes, or endangerment of public health. ---‐‐‐------------

That all sounds fine assuming they have some magical crystal ball which gives them the truth on everything.

This is face book level censorship.. where the MSM dictates what is true/false. No mention of how exactly it will be enforced.

I imagine it will be done in the same manner that web hosts control what webmasters allow on their sites.

I'm in a questioning discord group but it will probably be nuked soon

If nothing gets reported it may be safe, but that also means your discord is an echo chamber.

being reported probably doesn't matter I know discord will have their own bots which will find certain words or phrases being used and ban based on that, which their new rules show they have the right to do.

Words or phrases still have context which will need to be evaluated by a human being, its doable if they staff a team to rival fakebook's. Its easier and cheaper to tell server owners to maintain compliance or else.

even like an echo chamber yeah but within the group people disagree with each other, discuss different view points, some believe all MSM viewpoints on this topic, that is actually fine by me as long as we can freely discuss it and offer facts which disprove things. The act of shutting it down which will likely come will in the end prove my viewpoints anyway, must be true or they wouldn't need to censor. We shall see.
