Celsius is based on the freezing temp of water, 0 water freezes 100 it boils. That's a decent scale for practical home use and being a relatable scale. unless you are an engineer or scientist Kelvin is irrelevant since I am never going to experience true zero, so the range of temperatures that are relevant to the average person would be some arbitrary number range that wouldn't make practical sense.

I have no fucking idea what farenheit is doing, it seems completely random with no sensible baseline.

Looks at the moon, do ya see meterprints? NO! You see g'damn FOOTprints!

Chessmate!!!

How many miles to the moon? Now convert that to feet, yards, chains and inches and get back to me on that next week.

Also instruments to measure things are called meters, not feet. Checkermate!

You are traveling to the Moon, and you are using metric but your buds communication cuts out.

Did your buddy mean centi-meters, milli-meters, -meters... or what? If only he said inches, feet, yards, or miles then I could understand the word if the radio cuts out.
